The journeys of life take many paths…some planned, some unplanned; some filled with joy and satisfaction; some with sadness and sorrow. Some journeys require sacrifice, sweat and tears while others hold exciting challenges, opportunities and promises of great things to come. The friendships made along the way, the families formed, the paths that are blazed and the futures that unfold all enrich the human experience.

The journeys of the 2013 Jason Award recipients intersect with each other and with Children’s Square U.S.A in unique ways. Their Vision, Courage and Will embody the life skills and values we believe are necessary for a successful life – one full of Caring, Contribution and Commitment.

J.C., Lawrence, Charlie and Nellie Green were just four of the little ones who arrived in the Midwest via an Orphan Train. Their story also includes temporary care at the Christian Home Association (Children’s Square U.S.A.).

All four children later went to live with a family in western Nebraska.
